Lee and JD have come together to bring their unique style to those who love original music.  They played together years ago and have been drawn back by a common purpose.   Their purpose is to help bring life experiences and positive light to all who listen.  Each of them bring a long and unique list of accomplishments, goals, ideas and style to this Prymal Rhythm project.  Their experiences in life, some hard lessons, and moments of enlightenment and growth show through in their music.

A genra bending band with world instruments and a rock root.  A refreshing break from the norm.  Unique and original drum style, world rhythms and crooner style vocals take this fusion of classic rock, jazz, jam band and tribal sound to those who love to be moved.

Prymal Rhythm's first release is "Take One", a compilation of experiences and lesson from the past and ventures into new paths and promise for the future.

Prymal Rhythm is currently in their studio in the Colorado Mountains writing and recording their second CD.  This new CD shows the continued growth of the band and shares the hope and promise of change in their lives and for us all.

BIOGRAPHY

Imagine if John Denver plugged in a Les Paul!  Double Down is a professional and energetic rock band with songs that reflect the spirit of the Mile High city.  Influenced by Guns n' Roses, John Denver, Foo Fighters, Van Halen, and .38 Special, their music can be labeled as "Rock with a mild hint of Country and Blues”.

“Double Down has a great sound.  I was really surprised to hear a band like this in   Denver ’s local scene.   They combine some very tight musicians with a dynamite   vocalist and grab your ear from across the room.  The riffs are catchy, the music is fun and the voice makes it all sing.”  -Cole, A&R Dept., CAM Records

Produced by Desert Air Recording, Double Down's first independent release 'Still Motion' showcases Rock, Blues, country, and penmanship of the early singer/songwriter days. “Catchy hooks, raw and unrefined are best.” says Jeff Browning , the front man for the group.

Double Down is currently working on new material for a second professionally released CD and playing in some of Denver ’s best venues for original music, including Herman’s Hideaway and The Cricket On The Hill.  Their music has also been played on KGNU 88.5 FM, numerous pod casts, and various other independent radio stations nationwide.

Co-founders Jeff Browning and Paul Jarrett formed the group in the summer of 2005 with the intent of creating something that Denver rock and country fans can really connect with and appreciate.  Their songs are familiar and accessible, touching on subjects from the beginnings of American car culture in the days of prohibition, to personal relationships and the day to day struggles of making a living.

Performing live, Double Down pulls off a crowd pleasing rock cover of John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High".  Jeff serves it up with a heavy rock guitar, and dominant lead vocals textured with a country edge.   The show cools down with a Hendrix-like blues tune, "Fallen".  A tight pop influenced song,   "Day Gets Away" changes the mood a bit, and a crowd favorite,” Whiskey Driver" moves full throttle into country rock territory.

Double Down is a professional band with over 60 years of combined musical experience, with members having performed for countless audiences, including active duty military stationed overseas, cruise ships, and local community events.
