Artist Bio
I've been doing art for about 18 years now. Naturally, in the beginning, I wasn't that serious about it. As time passed I became more and more serious about it. In the end, I chose Fine Art as my major in college, and I've been puruing it ever since.
When it comes to my paintings I find myself coming back to my central theme of faces. To me an animal or human face holds so much. It has power, mystery, depth, and complexity. Naturally, as an artist, it's important to explore and experiment with new ideas. But I will always love to work with faces.
Over the years I've used many different materials to create my art. My first few paintings were actually done in oil. But as the years have passed I've found myself focusing more and more on acrylic paint. I find there is a great deal of freedom in acrylic paint. This is largely due to how quick acrylics dry. You can also create some incredible colors through the use of glazes, and other techniques.
