Tara Raine's Gallery
Tara Raine is a Denver based local freelance artist. She expresses her artwork in a wide variety of mediums including but not limited to acrylic paints, pastel crayons, oil paint, graphite, charcoal, earth clay, and wax. Tara is currently a college freshman in the Honors program at Metropolitan State College of Denver, looking forward to eventually achieving an art major, while practicing and displaying her artwork in her free time. She graduated from Lakewood High School in May of 2006 with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Her other activities outside of college studies include music and literature. She has been playing electric guitar for seven years and electric bass for about four years, with a range of experience in piano, trumpet, concert bass and mandolin. She loves reading, especially novels with existential themes such as Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment, Albert Camus' L'Etranger, Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange, and J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye. She also loves learning new languages, and speaks some French, Spanish and Russian.
