The musical journey began in the winter of 2001 by vocalist Kelli Wolf and guitarist / keyboardist Keith Schneider. Together they began penning heartfelt, influential songs that enabled Kelli to display the vocal abilities that have been compared to Deborah Harry, PatBenatar and Gwen Stefani. This also allowed Keith to filter out his 70’s guitar rock influence and merge it with keyboard melodies and structures that clearly bring back the days when Depeche Mode and New Order were on top of the charts. Not surprisingly when KELLI*SAID is brought up in conversation, a reference to the 80's era is not far behind. This epoch is something KELLI*SAID can't help but agree with and proudly accept. You could say that if movie producer John Hughes was seeking a band to compose an entire soundtrack, KELLI*SAID would get the call. Getting on board in the spring of 2003 was the very gifted and consistent drummer, Dazz Dassler. Accomplished bassist George Terry completed the foursome when he joined in 2004. Ryan Rister filled out the void with his incredible lead guitar and vocal work. All members possess the understanding that music is their true passion, but that it is also a business that they take very seriously. The song is the boss. Now they are ready to take that love for performance beyond the Colorado area and yes, "get it on" with "Let's Get This On", a very radio friendly CD recorded at nationally known, Colorado Sound Studios, to be officially released October 25, 2005.
