Lotus School for Excellence Reviews

For middle school this school may be alright but for high school students it is not a good way to go. It does not offer extra activities to keep someone interested and the ones they do offer they expect 15 year olds to hang with 11 year olds not a good combination.Athletic minded students this is also not the place to be. Also some of the teachers were not accessable to me when I needed help and were not clear. Lunch was expensive and also not so good as they changed the program last year and next year they are going to add elementary kids which is amazing when they can not handle what they have got. Not a good idea and would not recomend this school.

Lotus School for Excellence: This school, in the point of view from a student, would be that this school is filled with many students that don't want to learn and pefer to be sent to the office every period. I, being a student, would say turn the other direction, don't waste you time. When you look at the brochure, I can tell you this, we do not have sport activities, we do not have TWO gyms, we do not USE the commercial kitchen, we do not have proper enstrance to the school, finally we do not have a 'cafeteria' unless you want to call a stage a cafeteria. One last time, save the dissapointment and please go to another school. Thank you from a student.

This school used to be a godsend. Until the new administration came aboard. Now I am actively seeking a new school for my child. There are a few good teachers that really care about the kids and thats where it ends. Constant inconsistency with rules, teacher & staff favorites and the concept that bullying should be swept under the rug have made my decision to leave an easy one. Spare your kids and yourself the frustration & stay away. They are now going to add k-12 and have no idea how to run it as it exists. I highly recommend any other APS school to all of my friends & associates. It used to be a really wonderful environment for the students, now it has fallen in line with the rest of APS, which is less than desireable to begin with.

This was one of the best decisions we ever made. My son went from an MTV enviroment to a structured place. We advised him he could go back to APS nextyear for High School and he wants to stay at Lotus to continue Education. Would reccomend to everyone.

This was a awful experince. Lotus needs a new board and some teachers who could get the job done right.

I have a daughter that attends Lotus and they have been great with her. She is high energy and busy. The school is still in the start up phase and it but it is headed in the right direction. Her math has increased and the teachers are great. Highly recommend!

I did my homework and thought I was getting our child into a great school. This was far from it, the school is awful across the board. Teachers don't follow through and turnover is awful and never explained.

I was little considerate at first to send my son to the LSE. But after couple months, I understand that I made a really good decision. Individual attention to kids has anabled my son improve his math and science skills. Great teachers. Highly recommended!!!

1-Small school, small classroom size 2-Individual attention, after school tutoring 3-Very high quality teachers 4-Teacher and student diversity 5-Great facility with computer labs, science labs, gym and cafetaria 6-Convenience location, very central to Aurora 7-Many field trips 8-Parent involvement

I have been frustrated about the lack of choices for my child in Aurora. Lotus kept its promise to keep it a small school and my daughter loves the one on one education. I have never teachers as dedicated. And they accept everybody. I thought that my child needed to have special Science or Math skills to be accepted. I am the biggest fan of the school, I strongly suggest it to eerbody.

There is individual attention to students and it has after school tutoring from teachers who have very high quality. The best thing is small classroom size

It is wonderful to send my child to Lotus a school where she receives individual attention in a small class. Her grades have improved significantly since starting at Lotus- thank you!

The school has excellent dedicated teachers. If you want quality math, science and technology education, this is the only school in Aurora. After school activities are great. If you care about college-prep, they are adding 9th grade next year. Startup problems were normal, second year is much better.

Currently 6-8. It is adding 9th grade next year. It is a small charter school with small classroom size, which means more individual attention for your kid. Teachers bring international experiences and unique vision to education. Advanced kids are offered higher level classes. Much better than public schools in Aurora.

This school has been very beneficial for my kid. They have great people and one-on-one tutoring for many students. Curriculum is based on math, science and technology. I definitely recommend this school to any parent searching for a good school in the area.

This 6-8 grade school has moved to 11001-A E. Alameda, Aurora 80012. It has high staff and student turn over. Promises and plans are not well executed. Some discipline and consistency issues. It is a start up in every sense of the word
