Life Christian Academy Reviews

As a parent and staff member at LCA I want to recommend this school to you. My children have been attending Life for 3 years now and I have been very impressed. There are not extracurricular activities offered and I feel that having my elementary aged child not bombarded by this is a blessing. Both my children are reading way above their age level and my older child scored high school level in many areas due in part to the dedicated & loving teachers. I know that in tough economic times it is a challenge to provide a loving, safe and Godly education for your children but know that your child will receive that at Life.

My daughter has attending LCA for 4 years and loves it. The Principle and staff are amazing. Their is such a warm family feeling when you walk into the school everyday. The most important thing that I value is the entire staff including the principle KNOW my daughter personally and are there for her ANYIME she needs them. This school offers a good foundation for kids Pre K - 8th grade. I would like to keep my daughter here until she starts High School to build a good academic and Christian Foundation for her. The teachers challenge them in activities, competitions and File Trips for the past 4 years. The tuition is reasonable and worth it to me. I would be upset if I had to find her a Public School in Westminster. I grew up in this city and wished LCA was around when I was growing up.

This is the worst school I could have gone too! Most of the teachers are horrible, the staff and administration are one sided and tell you what you want to hear then never do anything about anything. The high school was horrid! I am going to a new school and feel I may be behind. There are absolutely no extracurricular activities to enjoy, field trips were never taken, and over all I would just say this is not a good school. It is a bubble and is very unlike the real world. Once you leave this school after a long while you don't have basic people skills, are sometimes overconfident, and lack the ableness to cope with everyday people. This is not a good school.

The best school my children ever attended, if we did not have to move, they would still be there. Teachers are kind, considerate and really care about the kids. The involvement of the parents and teachers is exceptional, this is the best Christian School in Denver.

I have two children who attended LCA for 8 years. Not only are both of my children meeting the academic standards of their new school, in most subjects they are exceeding them. The focus on the Bible and Godly character have prepared them to face the world. And no, my kids did not come home with a pile of homework every night. As a busy family with two working parents, we appreciated that. If children are being taught during their school day, and they were, and they are doing well in their subjects, why do you want them to have homework? I am thankful that there is still at least one school out there that cares about what is truly important. God! LCA emphasizes character and academics together. Thank you staff and administration.

I have a daughter who attends LCA and has been there for about seven years. We love the emphasis on Godly character and the influence of other like-minded students. It is a small community made up of teachers, pastors, administrators, and peers who continually show love, grace and guidance to my daughter. For this I am thankful beyond words. She happens to be a straight A student and continues to receive academic challenges and stimulation through the program offered at LCA, but the spiritual emphasis is of far more value to our family.

I have worked at LCA for a number of years. I consider myself blessed to be working under the current administration. I have freedoms to express myself and to make choices based on my knowlege. They have encouraged me to do things that I never would have done before. They have also always been supportive of me.

LCA is a good school for younger kids (thru 4th-5th grade). The computer based high school program is not sufficient, as the children have far too much free time and little supervision, and the program does nothing to prepare them for college. Furthermore, there are very few qualified teachers. While some are degreed and have actual teaching credentials, most don't. In previous years there were more qualified teachers on staff, but for some reason most of their best teachers are no longer employed there. Spiritually, it's a good start for younger kids, and all of our children benefited greatly in their early years. UnGodly behavior by the staff, and questionable judgment on the part of the administration destroyed my faith in the school and their program. As such, I wouldn't recommend LCA. You are much better off instilling values and spirituality at home for free. Older kids are better off at public schools.

I have 3 children enrolled at LCA and I think it is a wonderful school. My children all learned to read at age 4 and currently read and test well above their grade levels. When I compare the work that my children do with the work the children in my neighborhood do at the local public school, it does not even compare. I would say that LCA runs at least half a grade or more ahead of public schools. Now let us talk about class size. Adams 12 is predicting by 2009 that they will have an average of 34 children per class with one teacher. At LCA, you will see classes with under 20 students and 2 teachers. That is why there is no homework! With such a great student-teacher ratio, the children actually learn in school and do not have to take the work home.

As a former teacher at LIFE Christian Academy, I can't express fully the depth of gratitude I have for the leadership at both LCA, but also LIFE Fellowship. I realize that LCA would not exist if it were not for the opprotunity afforded to it by the church. It is exciting to see all the wonderful changes that have happened, and I whole heartedly applaud both the school leadership as well as the staff of LIFE Fellowship for standing firm in character, integrity and academics. This is an excellent school! Why don't I teach any longer? I wanted my own kids, and now we have them all attending LCA! I love this school!

After reading some of the reviews of other parents of what I assume are former students of LCA, I can't help but respond with my own review. My children have been enrolled at LCA since 2004, and I have nothing but great respect for the leadership, the teachers, and the excellence in education offered at LIFE Christian Academy. Not only was my son reading at 4, he has exceeded his grade level in every subject area. He loves LCA and when I've asked him if he would ever want to go anywhere else than LCA, he quickly responds, 'No!.' I am so pleased with LCA! Any parent looking for a school that is excellent academically should consider LCA. If you want your kids to be trained in godliness and in morality (unlike most schools these days), than you should consider LCA! If you believe that God's Word is truly the 'core'

LIFE Christian Academy is an excellent school. I have three children enrolled. As a Christian, it was our priority to find a school that develops character, while still maintaining excellence in academics. I have found all of this at LCA. I proudly endorse LCA and praise their efforts in raising the standard in this post-modern world of training kids in character, integrity, and academics. When it all comes down, I know that my kids have the best basis for success in this world: A knowledge and love for the Lord, and excellence in academics. My son has exceeded the average ratings. He was reading when he was only 4! Go LCA!!!!

Can I just say I love my job! LCA is a great place to work. When the new superintendent came on staff 6 years ago the philosophy of the school returned to Godly priority! The students must meet an exceptional Chrisitian character interview to be admitted to LCA. They are far from perfect but each day we have opportunity to grow together in Gods' Word.

My children have attended LCA since 2000. The teaching staff has been exceptional and always willing to work with the parents. We realize the sacrifice made by the church members at LIFE Fellowship Church to assist with the financial burden to house a school. We love the opportunity our chidren have been exposed to with an incredible PE program, art, Spanish and the opportunity to worship in a weekly chapel service. We love LCA and are blessed to be a part of the growing church and school!

I have had my grandson enrolled at LCA for 4 years and am thankful for the Godly environment the staff provides. He has struggled with his learning ability and his teachers have given him the extra time and effort to help him be successful. Thank you!

Schools should not be rated by one students success or shortcomings. The SAT test administered at LIFE Christian Academy is provided by ACSI and is a national test. The school tests at 50th percentile all around and meets the academic standard set by the curriculum used. We have an open door policy allowing parents to express positive as well as negative concerns. It is dissapointing to read such negative comments when the facts behind the academic issue is usually isolated to that parents child. Since when does homework make a school top notch. Also, in today's home schedules how many parents can afford to pay to have their child receive a good education and teach them at home in the evenings? We welcome families seeking a good spiritual and academic foundation for their children to contact us for information. Our extracurricular focus is limited by budget.

I am extremely disappointed with LCA. My son's sat scores went down drastically from being in a public school. This is very disappointing. I will not be enrolling again. The academic focus is lacking, as well as any extracurricular activities. The pride in 'spiritual focus' is less than professional as well. I would not recommend this school.

I am very unsatisfied with the level of academics and the other activities (music, computers, art) that this school provides.

I have had my daughter in this school for a few years also. I am very uncomfortable with the academic direction of the school. My daughter has fallen behind. She has had 1 field trip all year, and is extremely unchalleneged in her work. She has not had homework ALL year.

I have had my daughter in this school for a few years. I am very nervous on the focus and direction of the school. Even with our beloved as a focus reason for us to gather; the core knowledge is lacking. My daughter is the most proficient in her Bible classes than she is in her core knowledge ( life long needed information to be successful in this economy) I worry that the teachers care more for this subject matter than exceeding the educational needs that one needs to provail. I wish that the new build to the building is not for worship but for labs that are for technology or higher education levels for the complete furture education.

I am in deep disagreement with your idea of education at LCA. These are standards that are set by the county. In review of our time there, i feel that core knowledge is where the future is headed. Basic math memorization, Reading and comprehension, is the core need in our childrens future. I love that you desire to inspire goodness in our children, however, bible memorization, will not provide them with a desire for BA or Masters in the long run for success in our new economy. Our childrens futures are in your hands. Since our time there, we wish you improvement. Core knowledge is the power to their ulitimate success. Please rethink your program to inculde a higher level of education outside of spiritual.

My daughter also attends LCA. I am disapointed in the education program that they choose to give her. Academically, she is behind, comparing other charter or private shool methods, and I am disapointed. I will be removing her from this school ASAP. I can not have my daughter fail.

My daughter (almost 3) has been going to LCA for about 3 months now and we both love it. She enjoys the interaction with the other kids and the teacher. They really care about the childrent and their education and care. I also like the fact that its not too expensive, always nice.

I have my 2 children in elementary grades in LCA. Overall, they really enjoy the school and are comfortable in the environment. Their current and past teachers are caring and pay a lot of attention to each individual. Teacher-to-student ratio is low (about 1:12), so I am happy about that. The summer camp is great also. Tuition does not break the bank, so the quality outweights the cost. After-school care is a nice service, too, at a low fee. So if you live in the Westminter area, it's worth taking a tour and talk to the teachers.

LCA has been a blessing to our three daughters in so many ways. The teachers are committed to the overall learning for the students, with lots of encouragement to succeed. The Word is woven throughout the ciriculum. Sending our kids to LCA has far exceeded our expectations and made it worth the investment.

My 4 year old attends Kinderlife and enjoys the heck out of it. His teacher, the principal and the entire staff is caring, considerate and wonderful with children. The atmosphere is welcoming and kid friendly. He plays, learns letters and numbers through tracing, flash cards, coloring, etc. I am so pleased with the entire program. I would highly recommend this school to everyone with a desire to work hands on with your childs school in improving your childs knowledge and social skills. They're very welcome to comments, suggestions and concerns and deal with safety and behavioral issues calmly and respectfully. The couple experiences my son has had with the principal have been dealt with smoothly and have only increased my appreciation of the staff.

If you are contemplating a change for your child{ren} from public school, a charter school, or even home school, you are in luck!! This is truly a wonderful school to raise up a child in the way they should go. A Very Proud Parent!
