“Havern is one of those truly special schools that combines professional excellence with a caring and supportive environment. I chose Havern after looking at 10 LD schools in four states (my family relocated from Egypt to place our son in a LD school). Havern educates the whole child--speech, occupational and social skills therapy is included and integrated into the curriculum! No more piece-meal therapy and running around with a tired child after school to one therapy/tutoring appointment after another! Since attending Havern, my son is thriving. His reading has just gone through the roof and I have never seen him happier or more confident. “Here is an excerpt from my parents' response to my son's progress report: 'We are very impressed and pleased by the good report on (our grandson) from his school. He is doing good work and we know that Havern has provided just the right environment for his growth. Please tell him to keep up the good work and that his grandparents are proud of him. I've never read a more thorough report on a student. The counselor or evaluator did not overlook one facet of our grandson s progress. Every penny being spent on his development is being rewarded in real life. Thank you for sending the evaluation to us. “Havern has been terrific for our daughter. The class size is small, so children with learning disabilities are able to get the individualized attention that they need. The school also integrates speech therapy, occupational therapy, art, music and drama (including an annual school play).” This review was posted by a parent.

“Prior to Havern, our son was regressing every year in the public school system. He was not learning and returned home most days with migraines, nausea and low self esteem. We had meetings with teachers, principals, counselors and psychologists, but nothing seemed to help. Every day was a struggle and the bureaucracy of the public system was overwhelming. We ultimately decided a private school that specializes in educating children with learning disabilities was the likely answer. After investigating and touring schools, we selected Havern Center. After four years at Havern our son is now a very confident 'cool' kid in class. Every year he makes significant progress and is a happy kid. If you and your child are in a similar situation, then you must consider this school which is staffed with knowledgeable and caring people.” This review was posted by a parent.

“Havern has some great teachers who really individualize the education to your child. My son caught up 2 years in one year at Havern. It has afterschool programs such as boys scouts, choir, homework club, and a variety club. They have other extracirricular activities such as soccer and a schoolwide play.
