Louisville Middle School Reviews

We're now on our third child at LMS over seven consecutive years. We've been impressed by staff and teachers all through that time, and the help we're currently getting with our special needs child is both highly skilled and sincere. The current principal is dynamic, caring, and sharp.

This is what you call a great school: helpful, caring, nice, very smart, clean, but with lots of personality, with strict rules but staff that actually care. If you are looking for any of these traits in a middle school, look no further! Louisville Middle rocks, and many a child or parent wishes they could go there. Never underestimate a brick building! Only one problem: no air-conditioning in the older parts of the building!

After my child was experiencing abuse (both verbal and physical) by a few of her classmates, I had a meeting with the principal. My overall feeling was that the principal was unconcerned about the abuse my daughter was enduring, and even said 'boys will be boys!' She gave my daughter permission to leave the classroom if a situation got out of hand--that's right--my daughter had to leave and NOT the boys tormenting her. She experienced 3 miserable years at this 'school' and I only wish I had had the money to take her out and place her in a different school. I only learned of the extent of the abuse once she expressed it in a therapy session a few years after she completed 8th grade. Take my advise and seek a different school for your child--the neglect at LMS is inexcusable.
