“Unfortunately, the comment of September 26 is accurate. I worked as a teachers' aid there last year. The school is poorly managed, many of the teachers are either burnt out or badly inexperienced (with a few exceptions), the principal is a bully who does not communicate well with her staff and squelches creativity in her students, the curricula are boring, the students' needs are rarley met, and the discipline policies are thoroughly negative and completely ineffective. Given that this is one of the poorest neighborhoods in the Denver area, the future for most of the students at Fairview Elementary looks bleak and the school does little to rectify that.”
