Montbello High School Reviews

Well i think this school has change alot from back in the day. My child gets high grades and has lots of fun at the same time. Send your child to montbello!

this school is not recommended by me at all. the students are disrepectfull and we never learn anything because we have to focus on them getting on task

Montbello needs to bring in a high quality leader with a strong vision that includes high expectations for students and staff.

Montbello is not a bad school is actually a very good school, montbello offers alot of accelerated classes (ap). Also montbello has alot of different clubs. It has a good enviroment and theres help offer in every corner you turn into. I would sent my child to this school anyday. People judge montbello for what they have hurd of it, you dont know unless you walk the halls over all montbello is a great school.

I am currently a student at Montbello High School.I came from Nebraska and I came from a college prepatory school (Omaha Central High). How I feel about the school is it is not really challengeing. They change their curriclum alot which does not let students learn to their full ability. As far as education their test scores are really low.Mr Wilson is trying to get the school intact with uniforms and all. They dont have a lot of clubs they have the basics clubs that every school has. Montbello does have issues. Is not a terribly bad school but its not the best school. They mainly need a base of structure either their is definitely alot of room for improvement.

I was a student at Montbello when it was an okay school. It has progressively gotten worse. The students that do manage to escape Montbello are grossly unprepared for college. I was in the AP program with a 3.7 GPA, and still needed to take remedial math courses in college. The AP courses were not challenging, and they chased away the good teachers. Do not send your children to this school, they will spend the rest of there adult lives playing catch-up.

Despite the negative image the media portrays of Montbello HS, I personally know that this school is actually a great school for students and parents. They offer more Advance Placement classes (college courses) than any other Denver Public School. My daughter was one of many sophomores who were the first in public schools to start taking AP courses. Many of their teachers love their jobs and therefore will go to any extent to make sure that all their students continue their education after high school; whether it's a 4 year college or a 2 year community college. People shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Montebello is not a good school, I would never send my child to this school. i attended Montebello in 2002 and left after six months. I trnsferred to George Washington because the curriculum was not challenging It is not a good environment for a student to feel supported or uplifted. The food is terrible and not nutritious. The teachers are great Montebello has some serious issues it needs to battle, especially the new Advance level section of the campus which is especially for 3.0 students and up. These secluded section creates division amoung students and not cooperation. I recommend George Washingtion to everyone, here at least your child be surrounded by excellence.

A lot of people judge and criticize Montbello because of either what they heard or saw on the news. Nobody really knows the truth unless you have walked the halls. Montbello is not a bad school. Every school has fights or students drinking and smoking. That's high school. I am tired of hearing people say Montbello is a bad place to go to school or frown at me when I say I am a graduate from Montbello. There are a lot of good students who come out of Montbello. There are a lot of good programs with in Montbello. We have students on the honor roll; we have students with 4.0 or higher GPA's; we have students taking accelerated classes; we have students continuing on to college; we have students doing an excellent job, but you never hear about that. 'You think you know, but you have no idea.'
