West Jefferson Middle School Reviews

this school is horribvle my kid crys from all the mean childern and the teachers kept asking to put him in a 1 techings class what apoor rated school its the worst school ever!

I have to disagree with the poor reviews I have read about WJMS. We are new to the area and so far my child has flourished and I find the staff to be extremely accommodating and interactive. I can only hope it continues to go well.

Has horrible teachers and they just don't care adbout you but hopefully the new principle will change that.

I am concerned that my child is being challenged in this school. She is making good greades but does not seem to be stretching herself at all.

I am a student at west jeff. I cannot stand this school and it is the worst school I have ever been to. The teachers are very mean and unfair. Also very harsh.

I have often wondered how accurate these reviews are - some of them seem to be written by the same author. But in the case of WJMS, I have to agree with most of them. This school would be best served by starting over with a completely new administrative staff. The principal and vice principal have a great deal of enthusiasm for fundraising - but when it comes to being accountable to the parents (or even conversing with them) - this is clearly not on the agenda! Your kids will survive this school - don't look for them to flourish.

My children hate it here. I think that the school needs new people in charge, so the West Jeff name will go on.

I have a son & daughter that go to this school. They both have amazing young minds, that need to me molded. Yet, they havn't learned a thing at this very school. Why is this? It's a horrible school, and I'm pulling my children out of the school's, if your a parent going to send your child to this school. Think about what your going into. Someone new should be in charge of these kids. They need to be taught, not put down.

It hurts to even give this school one star. Unsatisfactory is not close to what i'm thinking. I am a student at this school, and I am having a hard time saying things nicely. There was a Kid in my grade who should of been exspelled, and he wasn't, and still isn't. I feel very un sfe at my school, and if somthing was to happen, the teachers wouldn't know how to handle any situation. The Principal(s) were disapointing. All they are there for is to point fingers, and never to help with problems. I can't say i know one good teacher in the whole school! Maybe but, and she doesn't deserve to be in this schol eather. We have no clubs after school, and recess is a very short period of time, and it's a releif to know that the year is over, and i'm terrified to go back.

I've been to many middle schools, and this one is the worst. I was an A+ student untill I entered this school. I feel embarresed to say I go to this school. The principal is out of touch. I can't wait to get out of this school, and go into a fair school system.

WJMS is not bad, as middle schools go. My son has had a good experience there. As long as your student is willing to work, turn in homework, etc., then he/she should do well there academically. Socially, there doesn't seem to be as much fighting that we hear takes place at neighboring schools. We've had very few incidences of 'dangerous behavior' in our years here. Of course, there's always issues with inappropriate behavior that I wish teachers/staff would handle with better discipline. All in all, we've been satisfied with our years at WJMS. We do not regret the decision.

This school is the best school ever. You should send your students there. They have Great academic structure and have band, Orchestra, art, Lacrosse, Gym, tech ed and a lot more. Send your Children here if you want a great school.

The school is horrible... unless the administration is replaced, I will probably move rather than send a second child there.
