I am proud of this school and the surrounding community involvement. Special note: The new full time kindergarten teacher, Mr. Arnold, is an above phenomenal educator.” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 4 2008-03-20 “The 2007-08 school year was the first year my daughter attended Mt. Carbon. I think she is getting an excellent education and is above grade level in reading. The only thing I would say would be that the staff is not to friendly. The last school we were at I felt that the staff was very personal and even went out of their way to learn my name. The feeling at Mt. The acedemics are steady and consistent with a requirement of homework, reading each night and accountability. The children like to go to school and find the environment to be creative and stimulating. A great community of parents, staff and students. After care program is privately owned and hard to use - waiting list.
